Our story

Twenty years of bringing Thailand to Kansas.

Baan Thai — "Thai house" — opened its doors in downtown Leavenworth on February 1, 2006, with one promise: a unique, authentic Thai dining experience, and the best Thai food this side of Bangkok.

The menu is built to bring you the many tastes of Thailand. From spicy salads to rich noodle dishes, coconut curries to whole fried fish, there's a choice for every taste — plus Thai iced coffee and iced tea, our famous sweet rice with mangoes, and a few American dishes for the kids.

In November 2011 we brought the same food and the same standards to Manhattan and the Flint Hills, and later moved into a bigger, more elegant room on Fort Riley Boulevard. Two restaurants, two kitchens, two menus — one philosophy: cook it the way it's cooked at home.
